Discourse 2016: Nigeria's Foremost Economist & Others to Lead Discussion on key Local and Global events that will shape Business Decisions in Nigeria, 2016.

A lecturer at the Lagos Business School, Pan Atlantic University and foremost economist, Dr. Austin Nwaeze and Chike Maduegbuna, founder and owner of Afrinolly will lead other speakers to discuss the Nigerian economy at the Discourse 2016 in Lagos scheduled to hold 16 January, 2016.


According to Victor Ikem who is host of Discourse 2016 “it’s a gathering of professionals who will be discussing the Nigerian economy with focus on key local and global events that will shape business decisions in 2016.

“The Discourse will seek to answer some questions concerning the state of the Nigerian economy and offer suggestions to government, also analysis the new administration’s budget 2016 with a view to highlighting existing opportunities for businesses.

The gathering will discuss the oil sector and dwindling crude oil price, its immediate and remote implication for government and businesses in Nigeria.

“Speakers will also comment on global issues like the US election, War in Syria, ISIS and globalization of terror, the media and other such with emphasis on business and much expected foreign direct investments”

Other speakers lined up include Dr. Alphonso Ogbuehi, a professor of Global Strategy at Clayton State University, USA; Monday Onyekachi Ubani, a legal practitioner and social critic; Ikem Umezeoke who is managing director of Homes and Homes real estate, amongst others.

The discourse 2016 is scheduled to hold on January 16, 2015 at the Afrinolly space, Plot 5 Etal Avenue, Off Kudirat Abiola Way Oregun Ikeja by 2pm prompt.
