Discover the Next Big Thing in Nigeria: TEDxGbagada.

On September 19, 2015, the inaugural edition of TEDxGbagada will hold at the QuadT Event Centre in Gbagada, Lagos.

The programme features a unique line-up of speakers, which includes entrepreneurs and industry experts among others.

The theme for the first-ever TEDxGbagada is “Let There Be Light!” and the ultimate aim is the sharing of ideas that will transform the current state of affairs in Nigeria.

According to Yemi Akamo, the organiser and licensee of TEDxGbagada,“This is a very important event to me and I have only one focus in mind — You, the attendees. The TEDxGbagada speakers were chosen from the brightest and best and promise to deliver a conference that will be truly life-changing.

Scheduled speakers for the event are:

Mark Essien: 

Mark Essien is a software developer and the founder of Hotels.ng, Nigeria's first and largest hotel booking platform. He is listed by Forbes as one of Africa's most promising Young Entrepreneurs.

Bayo Omoboriowo: 

Bayo Omoboriowo is President Muhammadu Buhari’s official photographer. He specializes in street and documentary photography and his works have appeared in various publications.

Toyin Poju-Oyemade: 

Toyin Poju-Oyemade is the creative, passionate, fearless and driven founder of StoryTeller Media.Toyin has worked with several media organizations including Inspire Africa Limited, Moments with Mo, Storm 360, M-­‐Net and Ndani TV.

Bovi Ugboma: 

BoviUgboma is an actor, writer, comedian, MC, poet and producer.

Taofick Oluwasegun Okoya:  

Taofick Oluwasegun Okoya is the CEO of FICO SOLUTIONS LTD. FICO is the creator of the first ever Nigerian fashion doll called “The Queens of Africa”.

Timi Dakolo: 

Timi Dakolo, popularly known as “The Voice” is a singer and songwriter.

Dorcas Odeyemi: Dorcas Odeyemi is a foundation stage teacher at Children's International School, Lekki, Lagos.

Mojisola Saka: 

Mojisola Saka is the Chief Operating Officer of Publicis Consultant/Soulcomm

The event will also feature networking sessions and a special performance by talented saxophonist, Adetuke Morgan
